3. Prosthesis
When the patient’s anatomical conditions are suitable, it is possible to place provisional acrylic crowns, attached to the dental implants, on the same day as the surgery (immediate placement). The main advantage of this option is that the patient receives fixed teeth on the same day as the surgery.
A definitive rehabilitation is achieved after the bone heals completely around the implants (osseointegration). During this phase, impressions are made that allow our laboratory to create the definitive teeth (crowns or bridges) with internal structures in metal or highly resistant ceramics (zirconia) and ceramic or acrylic coatings.
Owing to the complexity of these tasks and the care that is required in their fabrication, many trials may be necessary, so as to achieve the best aesthetic and functional results, and therefore the utmost satisfaction.
